Please mark your calendars for Monday, January 26 and Tuesday, January 27, 2015, to join us as we celebrate the 2015 Tourism, Hospitality and Arts Day at the Capitol. We all know what a difference an investment in travel and tourism can do to improve the quality of life for all Georgia residents. Our industry is the 5th largest employer in Georgia, with a total economic impact of more than $53 billion, supporting more than 411,000 jobs.
It is more important than ever that we build strong advocacy programs to showcase the important role of travel and tourism in our statewide economy. We are asking everyone in the travel and tourism industry, including frontline employees, sales teams and CEOs from all over the state to support and participate in this important event.
This year, we will have several events for you to attend.
The GDEcD Business Development Team (Tracy Vaughan, Director, and Priti Shah, Manager, Domestic Markets) will take you through the process of partnering with the state to help get your message to these important markets. This is a mini version of the former Group Tour Boot Camp.
Partnerships are an integral part of promoting tourism in Georgia. Understanding consumer preferences is key to developing robust travel packages that offer a variety of options for the visitor. This session will help attendees understand the process of creating partnerships that will help grow/enhance travel throughout the state.
