SUMMARY:Career Day 2016 @ Banks County Middle School
DESCRIPTION:We're growing and changing! \n\n \n\nThis year Banks County Middle School and Banks County Family Connection will be working with the high school in an effort to reduce duplication of Career Exploration activities offered to Banks County students. The high school will not be having a separate College & Career fair but will be participating in Career Day 2016 at the middle school. The participation will include the 10th graders exploring the different Career Day areas from 12:30 to 1:30. Other high school students will have the opportunity to be involved as Career Day presenters.\n\n \n\nThe event is scheduled for Thursday\, March 31\, 2016 from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm. We would like to invite you to participate in our Career Day 2016. We are asking participants to stay a little longer this year in an effort to give all students an opportunity to explore careers with your company and you.\n\n \n\nWe have two participation options for the event and we would greatly appreciate your involvement.\n\n \n\n	Demonstration/Poster Display   This option requires the presenter to set up a table/area that would demonstrate or describe their career. (Example: Setting up a potter's wheel and making a pot or demonstrating how to make a pizza.) Demonstrations can include posters\, props\, hands on activities\, etc.\n	Careers on Wheels/Outdoor Careers   This option requires the presenter to bring an actual vehicle representing their career to the school. (Example: A fire truck\, race car\, loader\, etc.) Or the presenter can bring tools from their outside careers.\n\nThe Schedule will be as follows:\n\n \n\n8:00 -8:30        Set up\, Opening-Kick off\, Rule Reminders\, Updates (if changes)\n\n8:30   9:50      8th Grade Career Day participation\n\n9:50   11:10    6th Grade Career Day participation\n\n11:10   12:30  7th Grade Career Day participation\n\n12:30   1:30    10th Grade Career Day participation (15 minutes at each area)\n\n1:30                 Lunch for Presenters (provided by Career Day Committee)\n\n \n\nWe would greatly appreciate any help or participation that you are willing to provide.
