SUMMARY:Banks County Holiday Festival
DESCRIPTION:BANKS COUNTY HOLIDAY FESTIVAL\n\nSEPTEMBER 3rd\n\nDOWNTOWN HOMER\, GA\n\n \n\nThe Banks County Holiday Festival will be held on Saturday\, September 3\, 2016 at the park in Homer.  Vendor spaces are still available.  (No vendor fee will be charged   Donations will be accepted).  Contact the Sheriff's Office (706-677-2248) if you are interested in reserving a vendor space.  A portion of the money received will benefit the Georgia Sheriff's Association Youth Homes program.\n\nThis year's events will be as follows:\n\n\n	5K run   beginning at 8:00 a.m.  The entry fee is $25.  Each participant will receive a t-shirt.  Prizes will be awarded to each winner in each age group category.  Contact the Sheriff's Office for further information and to sign up as a participant in this run.\n	Parade   begins at 10:00 a.m.   The Shriners will be a part of the parade again this year.  Anyone interested in being a part of the parade should contact the Sheriff's Office.  \n	Corn Hole Contest   beginning at 2:00 p.m.  The entry fee is $10 per a 2 person team.  A prize ($50 gift card) will be awarded to the team winners.  Contact the Sheriff's Office for further information and to sign up as a participant in this contest.  You may sign up the day of the festival if you choose to wait and sign up then.\n	Georgia Football Game   Georgia vs North Carolina.  This game will be shown on big screen TVs set up in a designated spot in the park.  Bring your kids and let them enjoy the activities while you are watching the Georgia game!!!!\n	Food   Food   and more Food   Food vendors will be set up throughout the entire day.  A variety of food will be available.\n	Children Activities   A variety of activities for the children will be available throughout the entire day.\n	Entertainment   A variety of entertainment will be provided throughout the day.  Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the entertainment.\n	Crafts   Vendors will be selling arts and crafts throughout the entire day.\n\nBring the family and join us for a day of fun\, entertainment and activities.
